This is a cool example of a RARE spiny trilobite. It is an excellent Ceratonurus sp. from Oklahoma. This specimen was found by, and acquired from, the famous Eugene Thomas Collection. This type is probably the most sought-after and elusive spink trilobites from Oklahoma. This delicate fossil is beautifully outstretched on a sculpted matrix block. Both ''horns'' and free cheeks are present, which is very unusual. The body spines are very long and quite impressive. Ceratonurus is one of the hardest of the Oklahoma trilobites to find and prepare, and this is a good one. This Ceratonurus is so collectible, Eugene kept it for himself.
