This is an incredible plate of fossil cystoids. There are FOUR excellent examples of Caryocrinites ornatus from New York on the slab. This type of primitive echinoderm has a somewhat ovate cup comprised of large, highly ornamented plates - the unusual plate structure of these cystoids is very easily seen! ALL FOUR LONG STEMS are still intact and are complete down to the holdfasts, which are attached to a bryozoan colony! And ALL FOUR CYSTOIDS HAVE ARMS PRESERVED, displaying fine detail, even some pinniules! The very large plate (OVER EIGHT INCHES ACROSS!) showcases the distinct cystoids beautifully. This is an extremely collectible multiple specimen of Caryocrinites ornatus cystoids from the Rochester Shale of New York - simply amazing!

A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
