This is an amazing trilobite double. There is a spiny Quadrops flexuosa and a Coltraneia oufatenensis preserved on the same rock! This pair of trilobites required meticulous preparation under a microscope in the EXTINCTIONS Prep Lab (it takes longer to prepare a Quadrops than almost any other trilobite in the world.) Quadrops is one of the spiniest and most prized trilobite in the world. This distinctive specimen boasts over 40 free-standing spines, and the famous four-pronged snout is fully intact. The long genal, pleural, and pygidial spines are also beautifully preserved. The detail is excellent, and the natural coloration is strikingly beautiful. And again, just look at those spines! But that's not all - there is a large Coltraneia buried in the limestone block! This is definitely one of the largest and best quality Quadrops we have had. And the fact that it is fossilized on the same rock as a Coltraneia is simply unbelieveable.

A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
