Specimen SSA633

This is a spectacular display fossil. It is a large, top quality Paddlefish specimen from Lincoln County, Wyoming. This is an incredible Crossopholis, one of the most sought-after fossils found in the Green River Formation. The bizarre, carniverous fish has great natural color, which contrasts beautifully with the buff-colored matrix. The amazing fossil has exceptional detail - just look at the detail of the bones in the head and the fin-rays and tail! This striking specimen is also quite unusual in that it still has its "skin" (not large scales like most fish) preserved. The complete fish is wonderfully showcased on the very large, natural-edged, free-form plate that also has two complete and a partial Knightia fish preserved! This is a fabulous, top quality example of a rare Paddlefish and Knightia fossil that can not only be part of a fossil collection, but also be proudly displayed in your home or office.

(Because of the large size and weight of this fossil, we will have to personally deliver this specimen to US destinations only - sorry, no oversees shipping available.)
