Here is a very distinct trilobite, Hamatolenus new species, from the Cambrian of Morocco. This large type has just recently been found complete, and was featured as Sam Gon's "Trilobite of the Month" in 2011. This inflated specimen is very nicely articulated and exhibits fine detail. The long, sweeping genal spines are raised and have been prepared above the plate. Many of the pleural spines seem to have been bitten short or rounded, especially on the left side. The bug has outstanding, natural coloration and contrasts strikingly with the sculpted matrix plate. And at over FIVE inches long, the fossil is quite impressive. This is a beautiful specimen of a large Hamatolenus new species from Morocco - one of the few complete ones we've ever seen.

A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
